Learn how TeamBandit can simplify team capacity planning in your organization

TeamBandit is a lightweight yet powerful capacity planning tool for teams involved in multiple projects. Its intuitive interface makes it easy to assign team members to projects and monitor workloads, while taking individual work schedules and availability into account.

An Unfiltered View Of Your Team’s True Workload

The calendar view is the main view, where you can see all your team members with their assigned projects.

This is where you enter the time required from each team member for the various projects:

When you first set up TeamBandit, you have to choose between a daily or weekly planning layout. This initial setup choice determines how the calendar will be presented.

The daily layout works well for teams with shorter projects where resources have to be shifted around quickly. The weekly layout is a better fit for teams handling longer projects, where progress is tracked on a weekly basis.

Easily Assign Team Members to Projects

With a few clicks, you can assign or reassign team members to projects using a simple dropdown menu. Quickly adjust who’s working on what and remove team members when needed, keeping your capacity planning up-to-date.

When you remove a team member from a project, past planning data stays intact—they just won’t appear in the planning sheet anymore.

Spot Bottlenecks and Available Capacity at a Glance

Color-coding helps you instantly identify bottlenecks or available capacity, so you can redistribute work and keep workloads balanced and manageable.

With one glance, you can see if a team member is over- or under-utilized during any period:

For a person with a 40-hour work contract, the total workload across all projects is color-coded as follows: exceeding 40 hours in red, full capacity in white, and available capacity in green.

We always factor in people’s actual availability with respect to their work schedule, assigned work and planned personal leaves.

Set Individual Work Schedules and Track Personal Absences

You can set individual work schedules for each team member. For example, handling part-timers or contractors with limited availability is easy with TeamBandit.

You can also track individual absences like vacation or sick leave. TeamBandit uses this information for calculating individual availability. This guarantees that assigned work can realistically be delivered and there are no surprises.

Ready for Distributed Teams

Have team members scattered across the continent—or even across the globe? No problem. You can set individual holiday schedules for each resource, and their availability is automatically calculated based on their local holidays.

For example, if your main office is in the US but you have a team member in Canada, you can ensure that Canadian holidays are considered when showing their availability.

About us

TeamBandit is the brainchild of Adrian Neumeyer, a Senior Project Manager with 10 years of experience in business and IT environments. Frustrated by the lack of good capacity planning tools, Adrian set out to solve his own problem: creating something as easy to use as spreadsheets but with a more robust foundation.

Together with a team of developers and designers, we stay closely connected to our users to gather ideas for features that solve major pain points ignored by other software vendors. By focusing on real-world needs, we make resource management simple and help you stay on top of decisions—even when time is short and demands are piling up.
